Before when you-tube was you-tube one could just sign up, uploading videos, and start making money. But now we have rules on absolutely everything. But come to think of it you-tube is protecting us from scammers .

On April 6th 2017 the big shock hit us,YouTube  announced a change to its partner program safeguards to protect creators. No turning on monetization until we hit 10,000 lifetime views on our channels.According to YouTube, To date they hare taken steps to protect creators by updating the rules required to join the YouTube Partner Program.

 The change has also helped them terminate hundreds of thousands of channels violating the policies not forgetting reducing the no of upcoming newspapers.

Ariel Bardin, YouTube’s VP of product management said they will add a review process for new creators against their new policies to ensure they get genuine revenue .
